Introduction to Laws and Legislation:

Though there are thousands of local and state laws that relate to companion animals, we have selected some of the best as models. The first is a new state law which establishes a program to provide low-cost spay and neuter services for low-income residents, animal organizations and individuals caring for feral cats or stray dogs. Were every state to have this law in place, we would see a rapid decline in the surplus of dogs and cats. We urge people interested in this legislation to contact us so that we can help them to network with others within their own states to make it a reality.
